Clout Nails
Clout nails are flat-headed nails used mainly for roofing felt, battens and light timber fixing. Kin Metal supplies clout nails in Q195 carbon steel, 16-50 mm lengths and 2.5-3.4 mm diameters, in bright, galvanized and black finishes to match different roofing and fencing jobs.
Clout Nail Applications
Clout nails are popular in the UK and Ireland for fixing roofing felt to timber roofs, battens, sheds and fencing. The flat head sits flush with the surface, and the short shank reduces splitting in thin timber. Galvanized clout nails are preferred outdoors because they resist rust and staining on felt and timber.
