What length of roofing nail do I need?

For roofing felt on timber, 20-30 mm penetration beyond the felt is typical. Common lengths are 25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm and 50 mm; longer nails are used for battens and timber decking.

Should I choose ring shank roofing nails?

Ring shank nails offer higher withdrawal resistance and are recommended for wind-prone areas or when fixing to soft timber. We can supply both smooth and ring shank versions.
